June 28th 2009 Irelands first Green Wedding Fair
Held at Castle Espie Wetland Centre outside Comber in Co. Down, the event will offer up planet-conscious alternatives from vintage and new dresses through to locally-sourced flowers and ethical favours.
Importantly it will illustrate how luxury doesn't have to come at a cost either financially or environmentally, which is particularly poignant given climate change and the current economic situation.

Belleetik will be showcasing some fabulous dresses and accessories.

June 27th 2009 Mix & Match Market Chamber Cork – Last Saturday of Every Month
For anyone in Cork, pop into Chambers Market on Washington Street – A mix and Match Market in Chambers Bar, with great finds from pre-loved and vintage, to up & coming fashion & jewellery designers and some eco chic. It’s also a great place for a coffee and if you want something tailored and customised in house designer Eli can do just that. It is such a luxury to pick up clothes, which noone else will have and for a pretty good price.

Chambers swop shop is open everyday and the market 4 Style will take place on the last Saturday of each month. Please pop in and say hello, tell us what you think. We want this to be a regular fixture.

Sunday 24 May 2009 - The Observer, Nick Mathiason
Uzbekistan forced to stop child labour
It is considered one of the most exploitative industries in the world. In Uzbekistan, gangs forcibly remove hundreds of thousands of children from schools, order them to pick cotton in the searing heat and live in squalid conditions on pitiful wages. Read more

With the labels we have at Belleetik, we really are working in such a positive area, with so many designers, producers, cooperatives, development agencies, who are making huge efforts to bring out gorgeous collections, which are produced with respect for the environment & the people who make the clothes.
It really is shocking to be reminded of the gritty side of fashion and especially the prevalence of child labour in the industry.
